This was after Rahul Dravid (177) and MS Dhoni had helped India get a 426-run lead on the scoreboard. After India had gotten a 426-run lead on the scoreboard, Mahela Jayawardene did a great job (110).
Mahela Jayawardene hit a career-high 275 runs in the match against the Men in Blue. Dilshan added 112 runs to help his team reach a huge 760-run total in the second innings, which took two days. The team that scored the most runs won the game.

Sanath Jayasuriya scored 340 runs in the same test match between India and Sri Lanka in which Roshan Mahanama scored 225 runs off 561 balls, which was a career-high for him. His score was his best.
