
Joanna Gearyoremus Onezero Joanna Geary is the editor-in-chief of the previous edition of OneZero that is an internet-based platform which is part of Medium which is focused on science and knowledge. Additionally, she is a visiting scholar on the campus of the University of Southern Cal’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. From 2016 to the year Geary was the director of News Product at Twitter, which is where she led the team that developed the information product on Twitter as well as its collaborations.
Geary has been an editor for more than 10 years. She was a reporter at The Guardian from 2006 to 2011, covering many different issues, including technology media along with technology and the business. In addition, she was editor of the US business editor for The Guardian from 2011 to 2013. In 2013 Geary was fired from The Guardian to join The Times, the place where she was Director of Social and Audience till 2016.
The month of February, the year 2018, Geary announced that she had made the decision to quit Medium to “pursue alternatives.” Geary is currently a Visiting Scholar in The University of Southern Cal’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.

Joanna Geary was born within the United Kingdom. She earned the degree of a bachelor in Zoology from Bristol University in 2004.
Career
Joanna Geary started her profession as a journalist at The Guardian in 2006. She was a reporter at The Guardian from 2006 to 2011 when she covered a wide range of subjects including enterprise, technology media and media. She was also editor of The Guardian in the US from 2011 to 2013. US Executive Editor of The Guardian from 2011 to 2013.
2013 was the year that Geary left The Guardian to join The Times The Times, where she was the Director of Social and Audience till 2016.
Geary was hired by Twitter as the head of News Product in 2016. In her position she led the group responsible for the development of Twitter’s product for information and partnerships. She resigned from Twitter on 1st January 2017 for a position at Medium as Editor-in-Chief at OneZero.
In February 2018 Geary declared that she had made the decision to quit Medium to “pursue different options.”
Geary is currently a Visiting Scholar at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
